A common complaint with espresso machines is the amount of noise they can make. Many will vibrate and gurgle to an annoying degree, however the Gaggia Evolution has anti vibration mounts and after priming, this machine is practically whisper quiet.

Warm up time for the Evolution is decent, but not instant! In most cases, you will be ready to go in six minutes or less, but if you want to be doubly, certain give the unit a full ten minutes to warm up. Most people use this time to prepare, grab a cup, prepare the froth pitcher and grinding coffee will take you a few minutes.
Cons
Many espresso machines come with a built in grinder but of course, they will cost you hundreds maybe even a thousand more. An absolute necessity is the burr type grinder; blade grinders will not create a fine enough coffee. There are cheap grinder alternatives available for you to choose from.
The size of the water reservoir maybe an issue for some people, this depends a great deal, on how often you use your machine. You might need to refill the reservoir every few days if you are a heavy user, which can be a bit of a pain, but only a little!
Conclusion
Often times with cheaper mechanical devices you will get something that is truly substandard and while the Gaggia Evolution Espresso machine does not have all the bells and whistles, you might want it will create a nice cup of coffee. This machine is simple to use, easy to clean and a joy to have in your home.
